This workshop will equip participants with a hands on experience of building electronic devices with the Arduino board, sensors, LED, servos, and craft supplies. While the desire for creating a Maker Space exists, teachers need a safe place to experience the Arduino system in order to evaluate its potential use for the classroom. We will use the Sparkfun Inventor's kit with supplemental supplies and the free Arduino and Processing software during the workshop.
The instructional model of this workshop will be short demonstrations and guided practice. Participants will spend more than half the workshop time in a self-paced environment where they will build/create with Arduino using web based instructions created by the presenter and online resources created by Arduino, Sparkfun, and Processing.

* We will not be paying travel expenses for out-of-state teachers. Out-of-state teachers are welcome to attend at their own expense. Lunch will be provided for all teacher that attend.
* Once you have been approved for a shared room, please submit your $50 refundable deposit for your room before it will be secured for you. Please pay using our online MARKETPLACE once your request has been approved.
* Once you have been approved for a private room, please submit 1/2 of the room cost though our online MARKETPLACE.
